Climate control and future expansion provide a strong case for the use of precast / prestressed concrete. TDI's experience with these types of facilities generally has been with walls (insulated / non-insulated, load bearing, and non-load bearing) double tees, and hollowcore to achieve long spans and open interiors.
For climate controlled facilities, insulated wall panels reduce the requirements of HVAC equipment. Architectural finishes can be added for style to compliment the surrounding environment or structures.
Future expansion is usually another consideration, since panels can be removed and reused in the expansion.
